Stephen Waite

Stephen Waite, Chair, has lived the majority of his life in the Town the North East and Village of Millerton. A paralyzed veteran, he is a published writer, former Village of Millerton trustee, and former educator and soccer coach for the Rhinebeck Central School District, where he taught students about the importance of inclusion.

 

Jennifer Nadjek

Jennifer Najdek, Village Liaison, is a 10th generation Millerton resident. A Division 1 College athlete, Jenn has coached basketball, volleyball, soccer, and swimming at the college and high school level for decades. She was the Recreation Director at the park for many years and now manages the office of EcoBuilders in Millerton. She also coordinates the Millerton Holiday Food Pantry and serves as Mayor for the Village.

Anna Clune


Anna Clune is a communications consultant with more than three decades of experience in the field. She was a grant writer and program director at the North East Community Center for many years. Prior to that, she was Senior Editor at the Institute of International Education in NYC and a freelance editor for organizations that included the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages and Cambridge University Press. She, her husband Michael, and three sons have lived in Millerton for 22 years.

Jennifer Dowley

Jennifer Dowley is a 15-year resident of North East, and has decades-long experience in nonprofit and foundation management, most recently as President of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. She brings her management and fund development experience and interest in public communications to the project.

John Scutieri

John Scutieri is a Millerton business owner and has been a Village resident for more than 40 years. He has had a long and successful record of civic involvement including serving for 15 years on the Village Board of Trustees, four of them as Mayor. He spent eight years chairing the Village’s Recreation Commission, which oversaw activities at ECMP. His four children spent their summers in the park, giving him first-hand knowledge of its benefits.

Geneva Morris

Geneva Morris is a fundraising professional with a decade of experience raising much-needed funds for non-profit organizations and museums across the country. Currently, she serves as the Director of Development at New York Lawyers for the Public Interest - a civil rights legal organization working towards equity for all New Yorkers. She has held several positions in research and fundraising at museums across the country including: The Field Museum in Chicago, Peabody Natural History Museum in New Haven, New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn, and the Museum of Arts and Design in New York. Geneva and her two daughters moved to Millerton during the pandemic and quickly fell in love with the park.

Julie Fajgenbaum

Julie Fajgenbaum is a business owner and became a member of the Millerton community in 2017. She is the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the North East Community Center, where she leads technology and marketing efforts. She is a mother of three and splits her time between NYC and Millerton NY.

Greg Swinehart

Greg Swinehart, his wife, Mitra (Mia) Walter, a painter, and their two middle school children, live in Millerton. Greg has served on a number of for-profit and not-for-profit boards including Opera America, Minnesota Opera, the Deloitte Foundation, and the Practicing Law Institute. Greg is an engineer, economist, and accountant. He recently retired after 25 years as a partner at Deloitte where he founded and led a number of management consulting practices in areas such as financial advisory, analytics, and economics. Prior to his consulting career, Greg was a practicing engineer.

Edie Greenwood

Edith (Edie) Greenwood, Treasurer, a 23-year resident of North East, moved here full time in 2010 after retiring from investment banking. Recently, she chaired the update committee of the adopted 2019 Town/Village Comprehensive Plan. Edie is now chairing the Town of North East Zoning Review Committee.

Jeanne Vanecko

Jeanne Vanecko, Vice Chair, has been the president of Townscape for six years and, as such, has been very active in the Millerton Business Alliance and in partnering with the Village and Town boards to advance local projects that benefit the community. Before moving to Millerton seven years ago, Jeanne owned and managed an architectural firm in Cambridge, MA, for 25 years. Her skills in project development and management will be helpful during the design and construction process.
