Stephen Waite

Stephen Waite, Chair, is a lifelong resident of Millerton. A paralyzed veteran, he has experience in education, recreation, and advocacy for the disabled. He is a former Village Of Millerton Trustee who has served on several community committees.

Jennifer Nadjek

Jennifer Najdek, Village Liaison, is a 10th generation Millerton resident. A Division 1 College athlete, Jenn has coached basketball, volleyball, soccer, and swimming at the college and high school level for decades. She was the Recreation Director at the park for many years and now manages the office of EcoBuilders in Millerton. She also coordinates the Millerton Holiday Food Pantry and serves as Mayor for the Village.

Jeanne Vanecko

Jeanne Vanecko, Vice Chair, has been involved in the community park project for the last eight years.  Jeanne owned and managed an architectural firm in Cambridge, MA for 25 years.   Her skills in project development and management have been helpful during the design and construction process.  Jeanne has also been a part of the small committee which has applied for grants over the last four years. 

Greg Swinehart

Greg Swinehart, his wife, Mitra (Mia) Walter, a painter, and their two high school children, live in Millerton. Greg has served on a number of for-profit and not-for-profit boards including Opera America, Minnesota Opera, the Deloitte Foundation, and the Practicing Law Institute. Greg is an engineer, economist, and accountant. He recently retired after 25 years as a partner at Deloitte where he founded and led a number of management consulting practices in areas such as financial advisory, analytics, and economics. Prior to his consulting career, Greg was a practicing engineer.

Edie Greenwood

Edith (Edie) Greenwood, Treasurer, came to North East in the 1990s and moved here full-time in 2010 after retiring from investment banking. She joined the ZBA in 2012 and was named Chair in 2025. Edie also chaired the Town/Village Comprehensive Plan committee which produced the adopted 2019 revision. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Foundation for Community Health.

Jennifer Dowley is a 20-year resident of North East, and has decades-long experience in nonprofit and foundation management, most recently as President of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. She brings her commitment to public service as well as her experience in management to the project.
