Coming in 2027

Construction has started!

Thanks to three grants from New York State and the generosity of many individual donors, the Village of Millerton is building a short-course Olympic pool and 3,600 sq. ft. pool house. The groundbreaking was on July 11, 2026, and construction began in August, with an anticipated opening in late 2027!

  • Five swimming lanes

  • Diving board and slide

  • Extended shallow end for kids and seniors

  • Pool house with showers, locker rooms, offices

  • Community room with commercial kitchen

Millerton Will Swim Again!

What’s Next?

To protect this once in a generation project, the Park Committee is raising a $3 million endowment. This is a Forever Fund, invested permanently with Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, whose earnings are solely dedicated to support the Village of Millerton’s expenses to operate, maintain, and make repairs to Eddie Collins Memorial Park.

Annual earnings will cover:

  • Mowing the grass, striping the fields, caring for the trees and shrubs, fixing recreational equipment

  • Salaries for lifeguards, coaches, camp counselors, park director

  • Pool maintenance, pool house cleaning, repainting

In other words, keeping everything working and looking good!

The committee has raised: $1,700,000. We’re more than half way to the goal. Help us cross the finish line! Your gifts to the Forever Fund are fully tax deductible!

“I’m thrilled with the progress of the Park.  It will once again become a major focus for our community – a place for games, concerts, and social connections.  A place to mix it up for everyone!”

Jenn Najdek, Mayor, Village of Millerton
